This is my myth that I have created and put onto a presentation. The reason why we're writing myths is because whoever has the best myth will get chosen to bring to life and will be put into a production. I hope my myth is chosen because I put a lot of hard work into this but either way, ENJOY reading.

TPS KidsCan Parade


So on Thursday the 25th of June Tamaki Primary had a Parade to thank a foundation called KidsCan. KidsCan is a foundation that helps less fortunate Kiwi Kids. The theme of the day was Cultural Outfits. So all students had to come in their cultural outfits. I wore a traditional Tongan Outfit called a Puletaha(Bu-le-da-ha). Our school was filled with colours and celebration. It was such a great and positive way to thank KidsCan.

My Michael Jackson Tribute


So here is a little tribute that I would like to do for Michael Jackson because today is the 6th Anniversary of his death. I just wanted to do a tribute because he's my idol, my hero and my inspiration. He inspires me so much and I just LOVE him so much. His legacy will ALWAYS live forever and he will never be forgotten because he's the KING OF POP! 1958-2009

Mehi and Lolo - Cybersmarts: The Power of Words




This is a DLO(Digital, Learning, Object) that me and my partner Lolo created. This task is apart of our Cybersmarts. In this task we had to generate different solutions that will deal with cyberbullying. We also had to create our own scenario's. There are two columns which one side shows what one of  our character's should do and on the other side it shows what he shouldn't do.
It was also great working with someone different for once!

Mehi and Lino - How the Tiger got its Stripes - Tuakana Teina


This is a DLO(Digital, Learning, Object) that I have created with my buddy Lino. This task was part of our Tuakana Teina day(which is a day with our buddy class). My class' buddy class is Room 1. We watched a story called 'How the Tiger got his Stripes'. Me and my buddy found this story quite interesting, but in the end we were convinced!

Blog Commenting


This is one of the reading tasks that my reading group was given this week. As you can see this task is called Blog Commenting. This task is about commenting positive comments on many different peoples blog. We had to comment on a friend's blog, a class' blog from our school and then a school's blog from our cluster. I found this task quite easy but then when I had to do a comment on a school from our cluster it was quite difficult trying to find the perfect one. Then finally I found it!!!

Matariki


This is a presentation that I have created which is about Matariki. In this task we had to create our own DLO(Digital, Learning, Object) that showcases critical questions about Matariki. But this time we had to think of questions that had answers that people will understand and gain information about Matariki. I also learnt a lot of new things from this task such as, Matariki is a Maori New year that represents new beginnings and growth.

Me and my buddy found this task quite challenging since we didn't know the meanings for some of these figurative languages. But in the end we finished it. HOORAY!!!

XtraMath


Today for maths we were introduced a new game by my teacher(I actually already new about this game). The game was called 'XtraMath'. This game helps me with my basic facts(Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction and Division). It also tests how fast we can answer our basic facts. Today for 'Race the Teacher' I got 75 points. Hoooray!!!

Recording!!!!

So today just minutes before the bell was gonna ring for Lunch I was pulled out of class to do some recording for our music teacher Caleb. It was actually my FIRST TIME doing a recording session. It was such a great experience. Me, Willy and Ma'asi had to go into this closet where the school stationary supplies were kept to record because it was very quiet in there and it was a perfect place to record, apparently. Me and Ma'asi sang a few parts then we started to record. We had to wear headphones so that we could hear the music and it was also to make sure that we were singing at the right time and at the right beat. Me and Ma'asi giggled a lot when it started because Willy's voice was so low and I mean like it was very very LOW......

After that we helped Caleb pack up the electronics and then we headed to the Boardroom to help Caleb set up the electronics again for another group that were recording. This time they were a bit older than us. They were recording different Cook Island drum beats. We were suppose to go back to class once we setted up the gear but then we were lucky enough to stay and record with the drummers. We all got different size drums and played with them. After a few recordings it was hometime and Me, Stanley, Willy and William volunteered to stay behind and help Caleb pack up. It took a while but soon we were done. 

It was such a cool way to end the week off and it was also such a great experience recording.
Hopefully I get to record again someday.

  3. Who is Zeus’s father? Zeus’ father is Kronos.
  4. What type of mythical creature does the substitute teacher change into before attacking Percy? She changes into a Fury which is mostly known as the ghosts of the murdered.
  5. Why can’t Percy’s mum get into the camp? Percy’s mum can’t get into the camp because she is not immortal or a demi-god.
  6. How are Percy’s learning difficulties related to him being a demi-god? Percy Jackson’s dyslexia and 8 ohd are his strengths which was clearly pointed out during the movie.
  7. What is the name of Annabeth's mum? Annabeth's mum’s name is Athena. Athena is The Goddesses of wisdom.
  8. How did Percy’s mum protect him by being married to Gabe? Gabe’s horrible odour overcame the smell of Percy which happened to protect Percy from Harm or danger.
  9. How does Percy look at Medusa without turning to stone? He uses his phone to see the reflection of Medusa and that it helped him see what she was doing.
  10. How do the three heroes defeat the Hydra? First Percy distracts the Hydra with a huge tidal wave and then Grover comes with Medusa’s head and turns the Hydra into stone.

  14. Who does Percy Jackson fight at the end? There are two answers for this, Luke because they did fight over the lightning bolt but then at the very end he train fights with Annabeth.
  15. How did Percy defeat his enemy? He released the water from the huge water tank and gushed it over Luke which made it hard for Luke to hold onto the Lightning bolt.
  16. What motivated Luke steal the lightning bolt? The thing that motivated Luke was that he had enough of the Gods and wanted to rule Olympus in his own image. He wanted the Gods to destroy their own selves.

I worked on this task all by myself in one day although it took me so long I think it was worth the amount of time because this presentation is just so FABULOUS and COLOURFUL and I LOVE IT!!!

This is a DLO(Digital, Learning, Object) that I have created which is about listing the different mythical creatures that we see in the movie Hercules. Also we had to add a description of what they look like.

  1. Who are the singing ladies in the beginning? The singing  ladies are called ‘The Muses’.
  2. Who gave Hades his job? Zeus gave Hades his job which happened to be The Lord of the Underworld.
  3. Who should Hades release when the planets align? Hades would release the Titans because they would kill Zeus.
  4. How do you kill a god? To kill a God you have to make them mortal by giving them a mortal potion which makes them mortal and then killing them when they’re mortal.
  5. Phil is a . . . ?Saytar which is a half-man and half-goat creature..
  6. How is Phil convinced to train Hercules? When Hercules tells him that he is the son of Zeus and plus Zeus shot Phil with lightning.
  7. What does Hercules use as a “weapon” before he realizes it is wrong? He uses a Fish.
  8. The guy asks if Phil is the goatman who trained who? . . .  Who trained Achilles.
  9. How does Hercules get out of the Hydra? By getting swallowed by the Hydra and then cutting the Hydra’s stomach and getting out.

  16. How many Titans does Hades release? Hades releases five Titans.
  17. How does Hercules get rid of the Titans? By releasing the Gods and defeating them so they can return back to the Underworld where they belong.
  18. Why couldn't the fates cut Hercules’s “string”? The fates couldn't cut Hercules’ string because Hercules proved to his father Zeus that he is a true God by sacrificing his life for Meg.

Hercules Task - What Makes a hero?



This is a task that was part of the Hercules Movie study. This task was about categorizing the different characters from the movie Hercules into three different categories which were The Good Guys, The Bad Guys and the Inbetweeners. Also in this task there were three questions that we had to answer.
