This is a drawing showing the different kinds of characteristics My Best friend has. My best friend has so many characteristics and my favourite one is that she accepts me for who I am without making me feel as if I have to be someone else.

Acquaintance or Friend?
This is a drawing that is about acquaintances and friends. In this drawing we have to explain in our own words what acquaintances and friends are. Also we had to put in some synonyms and characteristics about acquaintances and friends. This task was apart of our Skills for Adolescence.
Myths and Legends Padlet
This is a Padlet that I have created. This Padlet shows different key words that relate to our Topic 'Myths and Legends'. In all these key words we had to find the definition and put it in our own words to show that we understand the meaning.

Define Adolescence
This is a drawing about what adolescence is. On this drawing I have summarised what I think Adolescence means. As you can see there is a bridge and on one side of the bridge is a picture of childhood and on the other is a picture of adulthood. These pictures mean that Adolescence is the bridge between childhood and adulthood.

Tamaki College YR8 Day
So hey guys today many year 8's from different schools in our area which is Panmure and Glen Innes went to Tamaki College where we got to have a day at experiencing what it would be like when we are in college.
Today was an awesome day because first when I got there everybody was already at class so I had to hurry up. Each and every one of us got a name tag with what group we'll be in. My group was K Mn. I have no idea for what the Mn stands for but I know that the K stands for Kowhai which is one of the house teams at their school. Next after I got my name tag I was escorted by the school's deputy Principal to my first class. My first class was Maori. In Maori class we were doing a Pepeha. I found it quite hard because I didn't know what my tribe was and plus I was late to class.
Next we had Social Studies. Social Studies was AWESOME because I learnt how to find different countries on the World map using Latitude and Longitude. It was quite challenging at first but once I knew how to do it I found it easy.
After Social Studies we had Interval. Each and every one of us got a chocolate calcium yoghurt to give us energy and a juice to keep us hydrated.
Later after everybody finished having Interval we went to our next class. My next class was Maths. It was really hard for me I mean like I was STRUGGLING. We were playing this game called "Kahoot'. It was a good game because it helped us with our place value and everyone of us got to participate because it was a game where everybody can access it online. I was so happy when that finished because I was STRUGGLING. Maybe one of my maths goals can be to practice what my Place values are.
Next we moved onto our next class which was English. I had a Tongan teacher which was cool. Then we did an activity where we had to find a buddy who has the same amount of letters in their name. I was lucky because I was with somebody that I already know. She was from Panmure Bridge school. Anywho once we knew their names we had to tell each other something interesting about ourselves. Something interesting about my partner was that she could turn her whole hand clockwise and when I saw her do it I was AMAZED! I had nothing to tell my partner so I just told her that I LOVE Michael Jackson. After that we had to tell the whole class. I wasn't nervous for the first time because the teacher told us that their was nothing to be afraid of, we are all human. Next we had a discussion about what discrimination and stereotypes are. Soon the bell rang for lunch so we didn't get to finish off English class.
For lunch we had a filled roll, water, an apple, a muesli bar and some fruity string. After lunch our next class was........ P.E!!!!! Yay I was waiting for this all day. For P.E we played two games which were Gold Rush and I forgot what the other game was but for that game their are two taggers and the taggers have to tag people but the people who were tagged had to stay connected with the tagger and once the taggers tag everybody it would look like a train. By the way when you're connected with each other you can't just let go and tag somebody you have to stay connected.
After P.E class everybody had to go to the auditorium because their was prizegiving. The prizes were either a printer or a netbook bag. The people who won the prizes were the people who were chosen by the students leaders for showing the Tamaki College values which were Respect, Integrity, Success and Responsibility. After prizegiving we went back to our schools. Apparently the last lot of our Year 8's who was still waiting to be picked up had Pizza. I didn't really care I mean like when I went back to school I had some MILK!!!!! Which isn't quite amazing but yeah....
My highlight was Social studies because I learnt a lot of new things and the other thing was that I met heaps of people from other schools. It was an AWESOME day today!

My Aspirations and Inspirations
This is a task that I have created for fun that is about what are My Aspirations and Inspirations are. If you didn't know but my inspiration is Michael Jackson. I look up to him as a role model because he produces cool music and dance moves but is also kind and loving. His Legacy will never be forgotten especially by me I mean like I talk about him all the time everyday and that goes the same with singing his songs and trying to do his dance moves!
HOORAY!!
HOORAY TO ME because I have FINALLY learnt all of my bible verses for White Sunday. All I have to do is practice them until I have made them sunk into my brains nah just kidding but i'm pretty sure that when I go up to practice it in front of my Sunday school i'll forget it but lets just hope. I can't wait until White Sunday is finished because I don't have to learn anymore verses and I don't need to feel frustrated if I forget it. Tongans have their White Sunday in May while the Samoans have theirs in October. My White Sunday is actually next week so can't wait for that to be finally over even though its a time to celebrate with family and friends about childhood.
Once again HOORAY TO ME!!!!!

ANZAC Poem
This is a poem that Me and Willy have created. This poem is for the men that we've lost that represented ANZAC. We will remember them because even though they're gone they would always be remembered. This year is also the 100th year since our ANZACs landed on Gallipoli.

Feelings in Maori
This is a DLO that I have created that shows feelings in Maori. At the moment I am feeling Pai which means good. I found this task interesting because I got to learn new things and hopefully we can do another country for example Spain or France.

Mehi and Maopa - Definition Battle
This is a drawing called 'Definiton Battle'. For this task you have to find the definition for two subjects and you also have to put an image to suit. This task was done by Mehi and Maopa too.
10% - Measurement Mania
This presentation was done by my maths group ten percent. This presentation shows what we can measure by using Non-metric units. This task was pretty easy because all we had to do was to measure things with like pencils, counters and etc. After we had measured things we had to record it and this is what we recorded it on!

Mehi, Stanley and Willy - Thinkers Key - What if? Key
Here is a Google drawing that I have completed with my classmates Stanley and Willy. This drawing is about the What if? Key from the Thinkers Keys. For this task we have to explain what it would be like if people never had other people to look up to. At first it was pretty hard for us to start but then we got there in the end.
Please leave a comment below.
Congrats
This post is dedicated to Willy for completing his book in two weeks.... If you want to visit his blog here is the link: tpswillyl.blogspot.co.nz
White Sunday - Bible Verses
Man I just hate having to learn long bible verses for White Sunday. I mean like its so boring and no fun, all you have to do is just sit there trying to memorize it over and over and over again. Its just so hard because once you get it you just forget it straight away I mean like when you're learning song lyrics its so easy but when you're learning bible verses its just just so HARD!
I think its only hard learning Bible verses because how its in your own language and you don't know how to speak it that much so it makes it even harder. But even if its in English it can be sometimes hard.

Youth Camp
Hey guys if you didn't know but I went on a camp with my Youth group. There were also other youth groups there too which was great because I met so many new people. There isn't much to say I mean we did like the same stuff everyday.
So umm where do I start......... Well first me and my youth group all met at the top gate at Tamaki Primary where we waited for our animators(youth teachers) to pick us up. While we were waiting each and everyone of us started arriving then finally our animators arrived. Me, Quitah and Taylor went in one car while the others went in the rest. Our car ride was awesome because we were listening to funky music on the road and was also eating too. Then our animator Ruby shouted us a Frozen Coke and told us not to tell the others otherwise she would have to buy then one. While we were driving it was smooth but then really bumpy at the same time I was really scared at some points but then happy. The weather wasn't really helpful either, it was raining and cloudy. At a point I could see some sunlight but then the dark grey clouds just covered it. After a few minutes then HOURS we were finally there at first I thought it was small but them once you enter its well kinda big. As soon as I walked in heaps of new faces were just looking at me. I was scared and felt like going back home but then I hung in there. After that we all introduced ourselves and then we had dinner and did this thing that is kinda like a game which its called 'Guardian Angel'. In Guardian Angel you have to pick out a name from a box and from there the person that you chose is your angel and angel and you are there Guardian. Since you're their guardian Angel you have to do nice things for them like make their bed, get them food or even write them letters but the thing is is that you can't tell them they have to guess on the last night of camp. After that we all sang some prayers and then off to bed. We all slept in cabins. I shared my cabin with Quitah and two animators. Our cabin was like a fridge like literally it was freezing cold.
Then it was the next day. We all got up and went into the hall for prayers. After prayers we had breakfast and then came back altogether and played a few games. Next we did a book task that was about numbers. I learnt so many new things about Maths for example what irrational and rational numbers are and etc. After that we had morning tea and then back to the books. I learnt even more things like what Pi is. Then we played a few games and then went out for sport. I actually felt like I was at school. Later after sports we had some yummy lunch and then had some free time. After free time we all came back together and played games and learnt new songs. The time was going so fast that the next thing you know it it was dinner time. After dinner we all went outside and started playing and running around just having fun. It was so beautiful every night because there were so many stars just sparkling in the dark night sky. After that we all went and got ready for bed. The night before our cabin felt like a fridge but this time our cabin was so warm and toasty because we were given a heater. It was so warm at night and that stayed the same for every night.
The next day came and again we did the same thing as the day before for the whole day but except at night we had to chose from two options which were a dance workshop or art workshop. I chose to do the dance workshop because not only did I want to dance but because the art workshop was only making lanterns. So at the dance workshop two animators who were really and I mean really good at dancing taught us a dance to the song Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson(YAYA!!) and Justin Timberlake. It was so cool seeing everyone participate and moving together at the same time. After we learnt all the moves we were split into groups and had to perform the dance to everybody. At first I was nervous but then I slowly built my confidence. After that we had a night snack, sang some prayers and then went to bed.
The next day came and again we did the same thing as the day before except in the morning we all went down to a nearby beach and did some sand sculptures where we were split into groups and was given a quote and from that quote we had to make a sand sculpture from something that inspired us from the quote. Our quote was, 'Let each morn be better than its eve and each morrow richer than its yesterday.' My group did a moon rising and a sun setting and with the moon we got some really dark sand and blended it in with the light sand to make it look as if it is night time. I just can't explain how cool it looked like . After few hours of playing it was night time and it was time to reveal who our guardian angels were. My guardian angel was somebody I didn't even know her name was Jade. She wrote some really sweet letters to me and was really kind to me also. After everybody had revealed their Guardian Angel we played Capture The Flag. We were split into two different teams where we each had a different glowing colour code. My team was green and the other team was red. Our team won because we were the best the score was 3-0 to us. I was a defender. It was cool being a defender because we got the honours of putting the other team in prison. After that we all had some brownies and then got ready for bed.
Then finally it was the last day of our camp. We all woke up said some prayers and had some breakfast. Next we did reflections where each and everyone of us had to say our highlight. My highlight was learning many different things about maths. After that we all did a huge clean up. My job was to sweep and mop the cabins and to make sure nobody's stuff was left behind. After like an hour of cleaning everybody was packed and ready to go home. All the animators were sad to leave but the students weren't they wanted to go home to internet and all that stuff. I was half and half I was sad but at the same time I wanted to go home. When everybody said their goodbyes and were off on the road while we were driving we were listening to music very loud and again our animator shouted us some Frozen Coke. Overall the camp was great and I am glad that I am back home:)

Camp!
YAY I can't wait to spend my last week of school holidays going to a camp with my Junior Youth Group. Our camp will be at the Awhitu Peninsula. I have no idea where that is sooo yeah...... As soon as I come back I will blog about it so you know what I was doing at our Camp. So far the day hasn't started that good. It's raining and is cloudy. What a bummer. But I won't let the weather bother me. I am going to try and have so much fun no matter what the weather is like. So see ya!

Just another Normal Saturday......
So hey guys it's me again, Mehi just having another normal saturday where I sleep in, get up like after ten, get ready, have breakfast, watch T.V and many other normal things. But today is different just slightly different because I have to learn my bible verses for my White Sunday that is coming up in May. Well if you don't know what White Sunday is it is a day for parents and families to acknowledge and celebrate childhood by hosting special programs during church services which include Biblical story reenactments, and creative dance performances. I don't really like learning bible verses because its just sooo boring and you miss out on the fun. Well after I learnt like what two lines of my bible verse I went to my sweet netbook where the internet and fun stuff was waiting for me. Well if you didn't know but I LOVE MICHAEL JACKSON like literally I LOVE MICHAEL JACKSON because he is so inspirational to me not only from his music and dance but from his heart. He cares for everybody especially children. He would invite disabled or sick children over to his home called 'Neverland Ranch' where they would play and have fun which I think is so kind and generous. His home is like a whole ranch with a amusement park and even a MOVIE THEATRE. Which is just soooo COOL! He does this because he wants them to feel included in fun things and he also just wants to see them happy. But anywho I would listen to his music and watch many different stuff about him from his music to his documentaries. I'll sometimes even watch the same video clips over and over and over again and once I have had enough of watching I'll email Willy and talk to him about Michael Jackson he thinks that Michael Jackson is AWESOME too (but he's probably sick of me always talking about Michael Jackson). So yeah that's about it. Have a great rest of your Saturday and Bye!

YUMMY PEANUT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE FUDGE!
Hey everybody today I have made the most creamy, delightful and out of this world fudge with only two ingredients which are chocolate and Peanut butter. You also can just add as much chocolate and peanut butter to this recipe. Okay First you need to melt your chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler which is just a heatproof bowl over a pot of hot water. When your chocolate has melted you then get another pot(or just use the same pot you used for a double boiler but tip the after out) and melt your peanut butter you need to do this step because it just makes the peanut butter much more easier to mix. You can also you any type of peanut butter and chocolate you like. When the peanut butter is spreadable you then combine the melted chocolate with the peanut butter and mix until well combined then put it into a container and keep it in the fridge or freezer until set. Once set chop them up however you like and then serve.
This is the finished product(there was more but I just chose to take a picture of the nice ones). It was so creamy and yummy I couldn't stop eating it. This is a once and a while treat so don't eat too much.

MY Easter Weekend
WOW what a weekend because I had a church camp during the easter weekend and I actually just got back and I was like dying to blog about it so anywho this is what I did......
Friday was the first day of our church camp. First we had church at 12 o'clock. Then we went home and got our stuff ready. Later we then went back to church at 6:30 and settled in then we just played a few games had dinner/tea and went to sleep after 12 o'clock(we were so hyped up from eating a yummy sweet chocolate cake I made.) The next morning on Saturday (well it was already Saturday so umm a few hours later) we woke up had some delicious breakfast and then split into two different age groups where we had to discuss about our understandings of Jesus' crucifiction. My group did a little skit showing what the bad things people had done to him then we had to explain the meaning of that action. After that we played some games it was so funny. We played dodgeball, skipping, tug-o-war, something that is similar to non stop cricket and many other games. I actually burned my pointing finger from the rope when we were playing tug-o-war. When we were playing skipping it was so funny because it went from slow to fast and some people just couldn't jump that fast for example my brother Toma, but I was actually surprised to see little 5 year olds jump so fast I mean like to be honest I think they jumped faster than me.
After playing so many fun games we had lunch and went back to playing even more games. Then it struck 5 o'clock. We had a programme where we presented our skits that we practiced earlier to some of the people from my church. When that finished we had some dinner and again played a few games and stayed up. I was the first one to go to sleep out of my friends(I don't know why?) Apparently they didn't go to sleep until after 3 in the morning.
Then it was Sunday. It was more like an average Sunday where you go to church go back home and eat together with your family but this time it was an even bigger family, we had a feast to celebrate how Jesus rose back again after three days of his death. When we were finished eating we all helped to clean up and then again we played a few games(to make it easier we played every night except for today because thats when we come back home.) But this time I stayed up late(after 1 o'clock in the morning) well because we were just telling each other funny moments that have happened in 2014 and 2015 and oh boy we couldn't stop laughing. We actually got told to laugh more quieter. But then the moment was ruined because again I was the first to sleep(hahahahahaha).
It was then finally Monday again we woke up had breakfast, got ready for the day. But this time we didn't play some games we had a easter hunt(well it is a game). I found a really small one. But even though it was small it was still yummy. After that we then played some games like musical chairs, musical statues and many more I actually won the musical statues well probably because I wasn't moving that much but YAY for me. Then we played a ice-cream game where you partner up with somebody and you have to feed each other ice-cream but there's a twist you're both blindfolded and get spun around three times to make you a bit dizzy and also its a race to see who finishes their ice-cream first against other buddies. It was so hilarious because my partner just shoved it in my mouth and all over my clothes, it was difficult for me to even find her so I think I put it on her nose. After that funny moment we just had some free time ate lunch and got ready to go back home. I didn't really want to go home because it was so cool and fun .
The worst thing of all was that I didn't take any pictures to go with this post because I couldn't find the camera on my netbook which is just weird(plus my netbook was reimaged to like a chrome device thingo so yeah.......)

My Night!!!!
WOW what a blast I just came back from my little cousin's graduation. It happened at the Sylvia Park School hall(which is big). My little cousin is only five and she graduated but it was for her kindergarten so yeah. It was so beautiful and magical there was a red carpet, balloons, streamers, glitter and many more beautiful things. First they had a opening ceremony where they will call the names and that person would walk up. Then there was a opening prayer done by a lady from my church. Next the little kiddies did a song and even my little brother Lino but he wasn't even graduating and the best thing of all was that I taught them the song it was a song my class did last year with room one and it went:
Kina,kina,
Wheke, wheke,
Ika, ika,
Tuna, tuna,
Pipi, pipi,
Paua, paua,
Kai Moana E
HI!
HI!
(I hope you know this song)
I was so proud of them(LOL) After that the awards were given out they were so lucky they got a task book, certificate, gift bag and even a huge and I mean HUGE easter bunny, I was so jealous. Next there was a item done by three women it was a Samoan siva. Then a short speech was done by the Sylvia Park principal. After that happened a haka was done by some of the older students from Sylvia Park School. It was quite different to ours. But before that happened a sweet little 8 year from there school sang Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran while playing the guitar and man was I AMAZED she is only 8 years old and she could do that man soooo talented. After that item a prayer was done to bless the food that we were about to eat. I ate so much yummy food and the best was the CURRY. After that I had some trifle,, a chocolate caramel cupcake, some brownies and chocolate for dessert. It was so DELICIOUS and YUMMY. Next I went and played on the park. I got several stitches so I stopped. There park was so adventurous and different. There school was also so BIG. They even had a basketball court with hoops and a lot of parks which were around the school (and I was just like thinking to myself is that where they got there name from?). Anywho we then went back to my cousins house had some more sweets and then went back home.
It was such a lovely graduation and best of all they performed a song that I taught them.
What a night!
The last day of School for the Term!!
HOORAYY!! School is finished but although it has I will still miss waking up early and walking to school. But finally I can just sleep in all day well maybe..... Today was a okay day. We had Managing self in the first block then after that it was morning tea then we did our bio poems. After that it came to lunch time which was the best me Ma'asi, T.J, William and Brandon were playing shoots as in getting the basketball in the hoop. It was so cool because I got the ball in the goal twice in a row but Brandon had to steal the spotlight and get it in but he was a bit more back from the place that I got it in. Then T.J got it in and William but sadly Ma'asi didn't get anything which cracked me up because she was laughing too but then again sad. Then the bell rang and we did a Netbook Stocktake packed up the class and to end the day we had a whole school assembly where we sang songs and just enjoyed the last minutes of school. It was funny because me and Willy were on our own buzz singing HAPPY! by Pharrell. Sadly after our happiness ended because the bell rang. Every teacher escorted their classes out the door and out the gates.
I had a fun but okay last day and I can't wait for the next term to come!
Step it Up!
This is a drawing that I have done which is about What I am going to do to step it up in 2015? As you can see I chose a picture that says MAKE PEACE NOT WAR! because that is what we need to do.
Malama Honua Whakatau Voyage
This is a presentation that I have done which is about The Malama Honua Whakatau Voyage. There were about 13 different schools there. It was great to see many different colours. We all sang some waiata and also did a chant. It was great experience.
