Hercules DLO
This is a DLO(Digital Learning Object) that I have created with my buddy Stanley. In this task we had to choose 3 different characters using only 4 keywords that best describe that character and include an image of each character.
Hercules Characters
This is a task that I have done with my buddy Stanley. This task shows the different characteristics of three characters from the movie Hercules. The three characters that is in this task is Hercules, Megara and Hades. It also shows the actions they have done and how they changed through the movie. This is just a screenshot of the task I couldn't screenshot the whole thing so here is the link to access it more clearly.Hercules Task
Today at School!!!
Today was a really fun day for me because it felt like I did no work today. .....
At the start of the day we had technology as usual. I'm in art Tech. Today for art tech we did some doodling and finishing off our artwork. It was fun because we listened to music and just chatted while we were working. Soon the bell rang and it was morning tea. After morning tea I was pulled out of class before I could even get there to show some visitors around. That took for the whole middle block because the visitors took like 30 minutes in each class. It was kinda boring just waiting for them but it was worth it because I missed out on a spelling test. Then the bell rang for lunchtime. Yay!!!! Sadly I didn't really have a lunchtime because one of the teachers asked me to watch some girls in her class practice their dance. They were totally amazing. They were dancing to Waka Waka by Shakira. Then just before I was gonna go out to play the bell rang. NOOOOOOO..........
It was such a coincidence. I then went to class and did S.S.R(Sustained, silent, reading). While I was reading a article I was pulled out of class again. It was for Band. I was so surprised and Amazed. I mean like i'm going to band practice. Me and two of my friends were invited to the band. I was a singer. Our music teacher asked us what song do we want to do. Nobody said anything until one person said,"MEHI LIKES MICHAEL JACKSON!!"(which is true) Then our music teacher said, "Why don't we do Man in the Mirror then..." I was so happy. I was the lead singer for the song(I mean like c'mon it's my first day on the job and i'm already the lead singer). I sang the whole thing while Ma'asi harmonized. At first I was shy and not that confident but then Ma'asi and our music teacher told me to don't be shy and I took there advice and gained some of my confidence. Then sadly it was the end of the day and we had to go home:(
Today I had such a fun day and it was great to be at The Band Practice!!!

S.S.R (Sustained, Silent, Reading)
Today for S.S.R(Sustained, Silent, Reading) I read a really touching story on Kiwi Kids News. The article is called 'Boy Gives Homeless Man a Blessing.' The article is about a young boy who went to an Alabama Waffle House with his mother and he saw a homeless man sitting all alone with no food. The young boy named Josiah Duncan kept on asking his mother why the man was all alone and then his mother told him that the man was homeless, so then the young boy asked his mother if she could buy the poor man some food and she did. Customers and staff were so amazed because the young boy took the meal himself to the man and sang him a blessing song. The poor man was so grateful.
Josiah is the perfect example of the kindness that many of us lose when we leave childhood – if we all saw people the way children do (without judgement) the world would be a better place!

Maths - Understanding Time Unit/Calendars
Today for maths me and my maths group 'Ten Percent' did a worksheet task which was called Understanding Time Units and Calendars. I found this task quite easy because I already knew how to put the days in the week and the months in a year in order. This task was super fun and I enjoyed doing it.
This is some of the worksheet. I couldn't screenshot the whole thing because my screen was too big.

Pink Shirt Day
WOW today was such a blast seeing lots of kids wearing the colour pink for Pink Shirt day. If you don't know what Pink Shirt day is well it's a day where people wear pink to represent standing up to bullying. We had a awesome assembly which the student councils organised. There were so much effective messages about standing up to bullying during that Assembly for example we had a skit which the student councils presented, a mini clip about stopping bullying and so much more including two performances from our school band. They were so amazing I was blown away by the great harmonies and so much more. Today was such a great and positive day!

Soccer!!!
Today me and a few girls from my school went to the Eastern Zone Soccer Tournament. It was a tough and cold day. All us girls tried our best to win. The weather wasn't helping us but really cooled me down when I was on the field running. Hopefully none of us get sick. But overall it was such a great day!

Classroom Objects in Te Reo Maori
This is a Presentation that I have created with my buddy Lavinia. This task is about translating normal everyday object names into Te Reo Maori. I found this task quite easy because we had a Maori dictionary to help us. It was great working with my buddy Lavinia too.

Kia Manawanui Auckland War Memorial Musuem Trip
Hey guys today me and my class Kia Manawanui went to the Auckland War Memorial Museum to explore different Myths and Legends(which is our Inquiry topic). It was so fun I learnt many new things for example some more myths from my own culture and even our Pacific cultures too. We even got to make and use things too. There was also a Mummy tomb feature that we got to look at but sadly not touch. I learnt so many things in that Mummy exhibit for example there was this vase called a Canopic Jar that ancient Egyptians used to put the Mummy's organs in(which is disgusting but back in the days people thought it was good because they thought that it would be needed in the afterlife). Back in the day Ancient Egyptians also put other things in the Mummy tombs for example tools, weapons, food and etc. They thought that all these things would be needed in the afterlife. The more wealthy you were the more things you'll have in your tomb. I also learnt that mostly only wealthy people were put into tombs while the poor people were just buried normal. I also learnt other things but it's just too much that I can't explain it all.
Today was such a great experience(even though I've been there how many times)....
I think that you should also go to the Auckland Museum because it is such a great place to go to.

Friends WANTED!!!!
This is a DLO (Digital Learning Object) that I have created which is about the need of friends. In this task we had write down different qualities that a friend that I am looking for should have. I have also added some friendship quotes and pictures.
Looking at Friendships
This is a task that is called Looking at Friendship. In this task we had to write down the positive and negative things about friendships. On the side of this drawing is a tip which says, "
A real friend does not say “I’ll be your friend if . . .” and Real friends will not push you to do things you know are wrong for you." and that is true.

Today at School!!
We had a special ceremony for our new Bike track. At this ceremony we had performances from our Kapa Haka group, speeches by Ma'asi and Mrs Kelly and two people from each class to ride around our new Bike track. The Kapa Haka performance was phenomenal. You could see some students getting fierce and into the Maori spirit.
After the special ceremony we had morning tea. Morning tea was fun because we were just chillin with Whaea Salena and singing songs. Then the bell rang and morning tea was over(BOOOOO!!)
Just kidding after morning tea we usually run two laps around our bike track but today we didn't(YAY!).....because we had Rippa rugby for Kiwi sport. Today's Kiwisport was awesome because I got active and into the game. We had a few warm-up games, then a few drills and into a game of Rippa Rugby. It was like the first time in like 2-3 years since I've actually played Rippa rugby I mean like usually when we're playing a game of Rippa I don't really want to get the ball I just stand around......But today man I was on fire(I think)..........
Then after Kiwisport we went back to class and did some Inquiry on our topic 'Myths and Legends'. After Inquiry the Bell rang for Lunch(YAY!!) but too bad Student Councilors had to stay in for a little meeting for our visitors. Then our meeting finished and all student councilors went out for lunch except for me and Willy. Ms Aireen wanted to discuss a few things and then finally we got to go out for Lunch. As soon as I got outside I straight away went and played Basketball with some other Year 8's.
After lunch all Student councilors had to guide the visitors around our school....
After many classes we went to the Music room where William and one of the visitors had a Dance Battle. First of all Cypress played a beat on the drums while William started it off he did a few dance moves and then it was the visitors turn he did the most awesome move ever.....
The Michael Jackson Leg Kick(YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA). As soon as he did it I started shouting, "OMG MICHAEL JACKSON, MICHAEL JACKSON!!!" Then it was William's turn he did another Michael Jackson move.....The Moonwalk(AWESOME!!!!). When I looked around the room it was full of cheering visitors and students. But Sadly the dance battle finished I wished somebody had recorded this moment so we can cherish it forever. Then all visitors went to the hall while the student councilors put some chairs away. Once we had finished doing the chairs we went back to class and the day was Ended....By the Bell...
Soooo that was my day!

OMG!!!
Here is some really devastating and surprising News......
Sam smith has been forced to remain silent because he is suffering a hemorrhage on his vocal cords (where blood vessels within the vocal fold burst). Sadly he was forced to cancel some of his concerts in Australia due to this problem. I hope that he gets enough rest so that he can finish his tour. Its some really devastating news especially for his fans who have payed for tickets. Rest up Sam Smith.

White Sunday
Hey guys if you didn't know but I had White Sunday yesterday. It was so nerve racking because I was like struggling to remember my bible verses. I did know my Bible verses but I was just scared that I would blackout and forget everything(like I normally do...).
I wore a beautiful white cultural dress called a Pule taha. I wore jewelry that made the whole room shine. My jewelry matched with my clothing because my clothing had glitter specks on it which went perfect with my necklace and bracelet. My other siblings also wore white. When we were at the church there were other children who also wore beautiful clothes. Some wore pink, some wore green. It was a colorful day. Then the church service started I wasn't scared I mean like I see these people almost everyday. But again the nerves were getting to me about forgetting my verses. Then after some songs and bible verses it was my turn as I was walking to the stage I tried practicing my verses. I felt confident and ready to speak. Then the microphone was given to me I felt quite confident because I know that GOD will help me. Finally after that we did our class skits. Our class did the story of how Jesus healed a blind man who was poor and needy, Jesus healed him with just mud that was on the ground. He rubbed the mud on the eyes of the blind man and then told him to go and wash the mud off in this sacred pool. Next thing you know the blind man could see which is a huge MIRACLE.
After all the skits were done it was time for the best part........THE FEAST....... Just kidding although it was yum. I had a lot of Pizza and pie. After that I had ice-cream and some cold refreshments. When everybody had to play our part in the most coolest thing ever......... The CLEANING!!!
Yay the most coolest part of White Sunday.....Nek Minit
White Sunday was a AWESOME day for us adolescence and kids. It was great seeing all the children happy and smiling. The day ended in a great way as it was night. The night sky was clear and pitch black but for some reason to me it looked like the stars were gleaming right back at me.
What a day!!!
If you want to know what my Bible verse was well here you go 1 John Chapter 4 verse 13-17 but in Tongan.
A church that isn't my church getting ready for White Sunday...

Inspirational Quote
Here is something that I have created for fun. It's about what are one of my inspirational quotes. As you can see my inspirational quote is by Michael Jackson(My Idol). He has taught me many different things through his music, dance, quotes and many more!
My Brother
Well it's been a long day for my brother Lino who is sick. He's been coughing, crying and sleeping. I hope he gets better soon because we have White Sunday tomorrow. He just got better on Wednesday from being sick and then the sickness just came right back like a boomerang. I hope that when he wakes up tomorrow he'll be all better feeling like a fresh new tire on a car or a new spring on a trampoline......
Yeah ummm.....That's the only examples I could make up so yeah......
White Sunday Update
So tomorrow is my White Sunday. I'm super excited because I can't wait for it to be finally over. My whole family has been stressed looking for different things like shoes, jewelry, clothes and many other stuff! Also by trying to remember our Bible verses too. It's hard remembering them because when you say it to yourself its easy because you got confidence but when you say it in front of a crowd your confidence slowly slips away. Hopefully mine doesn't slip away at all. I hope I have a fun day too!
........
This is a Google presentation that I have created. I won't say much about what its about because you have to find out yourself......

This is a Google presentation that I have created which is based on two Myths. In this task I chose two different myths and I had to use those myths and compare them with their differences and their similarities. The two Myths that I have chosen were Sina and the Eel which was from samoa and the other one was Mataginifale and the Turtle which is from Niue.
